I've read and read on mechanical versus electrical and decided on the electrical gauge. Haven't purchased the Autommeter gauge, but will shortly.
I'm would like to get an idea of how to install this gauge. I hear the instructions supplied are not very good.
Thanks for any help!

There is a sending unit that gets screwed in right beside the oil filter. However it is kinda bulky and for me at first did not allow me to run OEM filters. So we just ran a line off of that and mounted the unit nearby. Then all you have to do is wire the lights up with factory. It is not to bad.

THere is a factory oil pressure switch above the oil filter, us a brass tee and thread the sender in on one side and oil pressure switch on the other, check periodically for cracks where it threads into engine, extra weight adds stress, had one break on me b4.

The difference between the two is that the mechanical uses the oil line and the electrical runs wires. Both of these lines go to a oil pressure sensor. The hookup will be the same as in that site.
