alternator belt too long with AEM Pulley on my Y7 motor
that's right. the stock alternator belt is too long with AEM Pulley on my Y7 motor. does any one have info on another belt that's shorter than the stock alternator belt i could use?
your alternator is rotated all the way twords the firewall?
if it is just go to your local checker/autozone and tell them you need a shorter belt and show them the stock one.

yeah; it's fully extended on the adjuster. i test fitted the stock belt while assembling the motor this evening, it didn't fit. I hope autozone will stock a shorter belt.
thanks guys.

just wrap a tape measure around the pulleys and get an aproxamate to the 1/2". Then the sizing for the belt will correlate with the model number of the belt. ie. 36.5" will be ?060365 (the 6 in there is for a 6 groove belt. 5 would obviously be a 5 groove belt). You can get it perfect that way.
