Honda Prelude JDM Digital Climate Control
has anyone done a conversion from a stock USDM Climate Control to a JDM Digital Climate Control? If you have, how did you identify the wiring on the JDM climate control? Also, does anyone know where to find JDM wiring information???
I have some for sale.... shoot me a PM or email h35nguye@ucsd.edu
I assume you know that the JDM Digital Climate Control will not be functional with the USDM HVAC assembly. You will NEED to obtain a complete JDM Prelude HVAC assembly; good luck.
It's control unit will look cool installed, but it won't work! A waste.......unless you have the $$$ to do it right.

Its a $250 mod... Right now I have my control unit, but am debating on which month to go at this project.... It takes alot of work, but it most certainly worth it in the end as long as you can learn to deal with celsius like the rest of the world! You need a few sensors off of a CL and a air mix motor... I bet you could get it fully operational for about 150... That writeup listed shows how to do most of it... PO.com has a couple of writeups... Forbidden isnt done yet, but oh well... Tops anything usdm... Wiring is fairly simple... The only hard part is installing the air mix motor... It requires pulling out your heater unit... I havent gotten to mine yet, but one guy pulled his out and he removed the whole dash... You might be able to get around it, but how deep are you willing to get into it? This DEEP???

I agree, I dont think it is worth ALL that just to put a climate control in. But thats just my opinion. But props to peeps that do it and were willing to go through all that

you can install it in a mtter of a few hours, and you dont need that much, all you need to get it to work is the unit, air mix motor and power transistor, along with a standard relay...you have to hook up your manual cable slide to the motor, and it will operate it, thus chaging it from hot to cold air....u can get the sensors if u wanna spend the money, but as long as the AC and heat works it doesnt matter to me..and i can take my dash out in a matter of like 30 minutes..the JDM unit looks sooo much nicer, matches the 4th gens digital dash alot better..peace
Can any of you guys give me some directions and show me where to get the parts like the air mix motor and transistor...
I can get the unit with harness and all the sensors but dont know where to get the rest of the parts. and im willing to go deep!!

I never seen it on a 5th Gen .. got damn that shiet looks tite....

"No screen, no deck. What you're looking at is the genuine Type-S radio delete plate. It is similar to the one found on the JDM ITR but double din for the BB6 instead of single din.
I'm not so concerned about tunes. The exhaust is the best music there is"
.... enough about the 5th gen ... help me out with the 4th Gen installation and show me where to get parts
... I can get the unit w/ harness and sensors, but need everything else ... like the air mix motor etc.

my JDM climate control is blue but its in a 4thGen.
With the auto function and the (ultra fast)window demist mode I reckon its well worth it, Even if it takes a little work.
