Default FAL Lexan Windows

Hey, i searched through a lot of the posts from the past, but I didn't see one person ever stating the weight difference between the lexan and the glass on an Integra. Does anyone here know the weight difference in the rear hatch and the side windows, or one or the other?? thanks

i have a very poor ability to approximate..

but id guess youll save around 40lbs if you change all three windows

i just know the rear hatch wieghs a buttload, and the lexan is light as fugg

40 lbs. may be a bit optomistic. True the rear one is the big gain, but I swapped the 2 quarter windows on my '94 hatch for less than a 5lbs adavantage from what I can remember. Different vehicles will vary.

The quarter panel windows are so small anyways. The hatch would really save you a bunch though.

Other than weight savings, is there any advantage to having FAL windows? I heard they get scratched easily...

I would assume you don't use Windex, but some kind of plastic cleaner, like for a sport bike or something. Can you pass state ins. with these? Also,I wonder what it does to the balance of the car? Calling all track ******.

cage builder was from Area51, that is now out of business. He now works at HyTech Exhaust and his name is John(and yes, there are two Johns at HyTech now)

I estimated it saved about 20 pounds... but remember, that weight is up real high, so it counts more.

Most of them... other than that I cant see why.

It is not as rugged as glass, is prone to fogging, and scratches.
