https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=487211
well, i just wired money to importparts.com for the Drag 4... Should be here in two weeks. I cant wait, untill then i was curious as to how many boosted accords are on this page, or pics people have of boosted accords!
Im curious why is it that we dont see many turboed accords?
Is it the price of the turbo and the outcome of the power, or what?

why alot of accord dont have turbo like civic and teg??
em..

1)accord is more expensive, which translate to more expensive for blow up
motor, part
2)heavy body=less p/w ratio
3)not alot of custom part availble
4)it take alot to make accord go fast
5)ppl take h22 over boost Fseries simply because Na=safer, drivilibity and comfort=another accord tradition

why did i do it to my car?
I was crazy, no...because boost is fun

boost= big money pit... i guess that's why people choose the h22

not saying i have a lot of money.. just saying it's a life long project for me.. so i'm not spending the money all at once..

yes, just like my friend said, you dont slap on the turbo and that's it, it WILL nickel and dime you to death. pile of Oil in garage everynight, weird smoke out of your pipe, weird engine idle and noise your never heard of, etc it's a money pit indeed.

damn, my setup sucked compare to your guy's big buck setup

I'm in the process of doing this and add a 5 speed conversion onto all that. I'm wondering if I'll ever get it back together and running...

DLB1994: I'm not sure because I don't have the info in front of me. I'm only running 8-12PSI max so I was told this should work fine. Why wouldn't you waste your time with a T3?

i have turboed a few h22 and have had a hard time making power past vtec with a small turbo if its a .48 turbine you will not make power past vtec the car will be dead after vtec

maybe with the new drag4 manifold and a .63 or .82 turbine you should be ok

and 10psi on a t3 is like 6psi on a t3/t04e

all the money you going to spend to get the turbo on the car why not just save up 600buck and get a t3/t04e 57-60trim and you know you will be ok

Not trying to go OT with this thread but what about the new Precsion sc61 on an h22a? I was looking at in in a t04s housing with a .69 trim should be good for at least 500+ whp I think. I am just worried about spool, its going on my stock h22a for a few months while I finish my spare long block with 9.5 comp. I am sure with the 10.6 on the jdm block it will spool nice and quick (I dont plan on pushing hardly any PSI on the stock bottom end.) but wtih the comp at 9.5 I worry it will take to long to spool. Any thoughts?

with a .69 turbine you still should get full boost by 4500rpms but it matter where your vtec going to set at
but no matter what you going to have full boost when vtec come in so that turbo should work good

i just have had bad luck with a lot of turbo h22 and a lot of prelude guys have to

some reason my h23 makking more power then most h22s at the same boost

Dont know if you want to include my CL (but its a f221 w/ an accord turbo kit ) in this or not but heres some pics.

My take on few turboed Accords is that everyone interested in performance blow all their cash on the H22 swap. The market for these is outrageous and has their price extremely inflated. Too bad they only get 50hp for their investment.

I was so impressed with how the F22b1 did with the turbo, I built another one with all the goodies and am in the process of putting it through its paces (just finished the break in, turbo and EMS go in ASAP).

Can you email me your setup? I'm gonna be boosting a built H23 as well. I'd like high numbers with low boost too :D
