Default Another new board policy...

This forum has gone to **** since last week when the movie came out... this is a tech related board... this is not off-topic.net or clubsi.com... if u want to know something technical or have a problem... u come here... if u are not posting technical stuff here... dont!!! as of later on tonite... lots will be locked and moved and deleted... if u are a "what body kit looks good" type of guy... dont come here... we have enough people of technical background who dont care about that stuff

if you're not into the technical aspect of our cars... just dont come here... its as simple as that

I have another idea also... ENOUGH with the **** talking.. I hate it when people disagree with others and automatically start talking **** or come up with some smart *** remark. It is one thing to have a difference in opinion, but another to start flaming another because of it.. Let this board get back to how it used to be, a tech board where we discuss technical stuff about or cars and learn not hate...

I think the reason why people post OT Topics and other topics in THIS FORUM is because EVERYONE goes to this forum and none else! What I mean by that is, if someone were to post a Tech question in the Tech forum or Security question in the security forum, no one ever goes to that.
Thats the honest truth, look at how many people check out this forum VS. DFH? Or VS. Audio/Security.
I asked a question about the immobilizer and I only got 1-2 responses in the last week. Thats 7 straight days with only a couple responses. If I asked that here, I would have gotten tons....
But you are correct, I wish people would check out the other forums just as much...
In fact...why even have a General forum?? I mean what's a general question? Its either Tech related, Cosmetic Related or SecurityAudio related.....And we have a forum for each.....

Thoughts???

why is it when i say stuff like that i only get a few praises, but a good amt of negative comments also...and im tagged as a bitcher/complainer.. (look at my User Title)
I even wrote a letter to a couple moderators about this in the winter...things got better for a while, but when to poop again. it's cyclical....that it enough bitching
Let the era of moderators ruling HT with an iron fist begin...bring us back to our golden age

You drive a civic bish...whashoo whinin bout?

I mean, I guess...I kind of agree, but I dont think it has to do with the movie. More and more people are finding out about this place, and with that comes inexperience and immaturity. Its bound to happen...I dont know if restricting posts to only tech stuff is a good idea, like a meet reminder or something, or a post about a body kit...

To each his own ya know? If someone wants to know how to put Altezzas on, and they make a post, they are an enthusiast as well(albeit one with bad taste), and they deserve an answer just like someone who would post about an erratic idle or something. I like the idea of this being a strictly tech forum, but I dont think an "iron fist" ruling is necessary..theres gotta be some leeway. What I see as not technical still may deserve an answer...but a post like "Who likes blue cars?" is of course worthless.

Thank god at least one mod can see it this way. Are the others trying to chase away new people?

There's a difference between HOW to put on Altezzas and SHOULD I get Altezzas... Or check out my Altezzas. There is nothing wrong with askikng how to put something on the car, but when people start asking completely appearance related questions that just clogs up the board.

I agree though, there is too much bashing on the board... if someone likes altezzas, fine, let them be, it's their car and hobby just as much as it is yours. People on boards tend to be self-rightous and completely biased towards products they own.
