Hell are they even still around anymore?

We already have a thread about where to buy from, so let's keep this one about who not to buy from if we could.

I'm buying my motor/trans from City Auto here in Aurora, IL.

79K B18B Motor + trans + warranty for $750, can't beat that..

The general gist you'll get around here is to buy from hmotorsonline.com or importautosalvage.com, just depending on what side of the country you're on. They both have great reputation, excellent customer service, and actually care about their customers.

I didn't get my motor in my car until 4 months after I received it from Steve. I had a few problems, some broken sensors. Everytime I called Steve, he was very willing to talk and if he wasn't there he most often called me back THAT day on my cellphone. He was a real pleasure to deal with, and I got a strong motor.

Alot of the other companies like jdmclub and osaka get bad reps because of problems people on this board have here. Who knows, they may be legit, but if ONE thing has ever gone wrong to leave a customer unsatisfied, why would you want to deal with them? Shouldn't we as customers have the right to expect perfection in service when we're handing over 3-4k of our own money? I say yes...

Your best bet is to get from HMO or IAS and have a clean conscience about your purchase and the customer service there to back you up. Can't beat a warranty either.

Good luck with your buy.

PS: DON'T BUY A B16 IF YOU'RE STAYING NA. NO TORQUE =

JUST SAY NO TO OSAKAJDMMOTRS.COM!

service is ****! Mark makes promises but has MANY unanswered sevice calls.
broken sensors not replaced, wiring harness hacked to **** not replaced, double charged for shipping on delivery, the list goes on....they simply do not follow through.

The sad part is just today someone recommended them to someone on here. I can't remember which thread it was, but I saw it earlier today when I was in class.

This site can make or brake anyone. I read the other thread and the guy from JDM club was comparing an LSD to an outfit for malibu barbie. Peckerhead!!!

I am ordering thru H motors. I think that is the best on the east cost.

TOM: and to the person who made this post.......I was the one who made the "Finally got my motor" thread.....anyways OSAKA and JDMCLUB are the SAME THING!!!! When i got my motor(check on the thread i made then click page 5 for motor pic) the reciept said Osaka auto parts, put two and two together and realized where all the trouble was comming from. My motor suprisingly came out pretty clean for 3200, but for others, they werent so lucky like DICKSONRD......read "Finally got my motor" and you will see why!

Why don't they just save themselves and EVERYONE a lot of grief and pull the sensors before shipping a motor.

put the sensors in a foam packed box and ship for like $3

My only gripe with Steve is that I can't ever get him to send me a receipt until I call him a few times.
