10 sec D15? with GX pistons?
I was on here a while ago and was reading about a d series (d15) that was running 10's partially due to the use of GX pistons.
does anyone know what I'm talking about?
if so as much info as possible would be nice..(I searched)

thats nutz.
Bisi's crx does 10's all motor, the block says 1.5, but I bet its not, and no way did he use honda OEm pistons.
Search Spade's d-series post to learn about possible setups.

bisi's d15 is still 1.5l. He's got hella high compression running alcohol and such. go on dseries.org and look for d series pistons. some guy made a website detailing them all
Last I heard about his car it was running 15.0:1... If he has just switched to Meth recently then i'm sure he bumped up the compression... Latez
Yea, I'm sure that's correct if he's running Meth... I saw the 15.0:1 a long long time ago when I thought that was totally crazy... Now 15.0:1 isn't anything special... Weird how that works... Pretty soon daily driven 18.0:1 will be nothing... haha

I've done a little research and...
They have VERY similar rods to LS's only they fit the d series crank (some guy said it on a forum board so I don't know how true it is.)
They have 12.5:1 comp pistons which he BELIEVE's are forged... which would make sense since it's running compressed natural gas...
I'm gunna start looking into this more seriously.

probably looks like a damn upside down icecream cone there is so much positive displacement in the pistons..hehe

Bisi is not just gonna let the whole world know what he's got under his hood. Chances of find pictures of his pistons are slim to none.

You won't find pictures, because he doesn't show them. To let you know 18:1 C/R is even a little low for Bisi's tastes. He won't tell you exactly what it is, but it's higher than that.
um curious, he has to run special valves doesnt he, and wouldnt you have to weld the combustion chambers? who would make that high comperssion pistions?(custom i suppose)
He doesn't really say much about his setup. There is a good reason for that obviously, so I have no clue. RS Machines is the shop that does most of his machine work.
ey
thats nice to know, i didnt know sum1 does or mods them engines like that, pretty insane,
i friend of mine has done this, a while ago, he runs 97octane rate gas,
D15 engine, i dont know the compression though, but he uses Nissan pistons,
he's car is an EG, daily driven, with all the necessary parts and items inside the car for daily driving , like stereo's and all that, the only thing it doesnt have as opposed to other cars is, the A/C system and power steering, thats all,
he ran 12.45 sec , the bottom end of the D15 is left all stock, heads ported by their own mechanic in their garage
D15 has sum potential, sumtimes its underrated

you can check out his car, it's featured in the piyeza.com website
but now its rcently turbo'd they plan to break a certain record here for a D15, which they already own,

last i heard is that he ditched the d series and went with an f series but stayed sohc he did hit 10's with a d-series n/a but it was no 1.5 liter it was bored and stroked i don't remember the specs exactly. if u do some diggin thru old issues of scc there was an article on his setup and l'natural's setup at the time, that was a couple of years ago. if u do a search on this board and if the archives are up there were quite a few posts on his setup. also goto http://www.dseries.org bisi post's there regularly and there is more info on his current setup there as well.
