Couple questions: Is that 3rd gear? Is that stock Si tranny? What are you using to have it rev up that high? I think I remember you saying that you wouldn't do Hondata...

I will use anything that is cheap OR a standalone.

yes third gear, the EP tranny is far superior than the six banger, just needs an LSD

Recommend us some standalone/cheap ECU options when you get this thing all sorted out.

So you think that the ep 5 speed is going to work better than the rsx, or whatever six speed transmition for overall performance and driveability? Another question is if this is in the Ep3 what were, if any, clearance issues with the engine being in the car, and are there any motor mounts that are needed. I am just wondering besides building the engine, what are the other efforts involved with you guys doing this.

Thumbs up on the big block!

I don't see the big deal here. Jack never really shows us much at all, its always a secret. Now Sean hilliers EP that I saw get dynoed with my own eyes made 214 to the wheels with just exhuast, Intake, and the honda-data chip. Its got a 02 JDM Integra type r motor and tranny. The tranny is one of keys to how freaking fast the thing is. And your going to tell me the 5speed is better.

How is it better? Are you saying the gears are better spaced than a JDM Type R tranny? Have you drivin a car with a JDM type r tranny? If you have then you know how short 4th gear is? Please you can reply with more than one sentence.

Um...usually, I like a good debate, but in this case, Im going to take an ECHC winner's opinion over a jdm ******

Apples to oranges comparison between a K24/K20 head and the JDM ITR motor...

Also, the tranny is not the key to how fast a car is. A transmission can be optimized to a car's powerband but will never be the "key".

Have you driven a k-series car with the JDM Hype-Arr transmission?

I was referring to your example, sean hillier. JDM *****? Yes. R tranny key to how fast? No, according to jack.
