AC...keep or take out?
Alright well i got my first dose of not having AC this past week on Monday thru Wednesday and it was not fun
I have the AC compressor and everything in but the pipes aren't connected. Should i just remove the AC completely, or keep it as seeing as summers in NY can get pretty hot. If i were to remove, would it even make a big difference?
Just need a few opinions.
Thanks, John

I live in chicago..and it also gets pretty hot/humid in the summers. Last summer, I used my AC about 2-3 times. And it was always with someone else in the car - since I didn't want them to feel uncomfortable...but I don't usually use it..even if its really hot. Why? because I like driving with the windows rolled down..its fun.
Next summer or whenever, When I plan on swapping a Z6 into my car, I'm going to take the AC out..cuz it'll clear out my Engine bay and lighten the load a bit....and especially since I barely use it...
Although It comes really handy when it rains and the windows fog up...i think that'll be my biggest regret...peace

yeah i was thinkin that cause say its hot as hell one day and i'm drivin a chick, wouldn't be too comfortable if your both sweatin like hell.
And is loosing 50 lbs of weight in your car worth that? I have a 92 cx with no spare in the back and i'm only 145 lbs myself
But on the other hand 50 lbs is a considerable amount, haha

NY City is ragin hot in the summer. Is .05 sec worth a summer sweltering? What if it rains, you're screwed since your windows will be rolled up, and it'll get steamy humid in side and then your cars interior gets all wet.
I live in St Louis and drive a black Eh3. Whoever owned the car before me ripped out the AC, and I REALLY miss it. Its livable, but AC is just one of those things that is nice to have... if you can live with it, and so can your lady on the hot days, go for it, bceause it makes a nice spot for the turbo and isn't needed on the cool summer nights.
imo i think its stupid to take out your ac and to suffer unless you drag. it all depends on what you use your car for. do you drag, do you plan on makin it a performance machine, is it your daily driver that gets you to work that you're tryin to upgrade, etc etc

I took ac out of my acr, but only because the car's gonna be a pretty serious beast, and there's still lots of plans for it. If you're just looking to do basic stuff, and drive the car everyday, then there's no point to get rid of ac. I would still have ac but it was either the turbo or the ac, and turbo won
Plus it doesen't hurt to have a second car with ac

Ditch the AC, it really opens up the engine bay, it lightens the load, and that is one less thing to worry about. I got rid of mine, solely because my last two cars, 89hatch and a 95 wrangler, didn't have AC. So I was used to not having it. It gets really hot and humid here in the Lou, but it is still bearable.
Id keep it. AC came on my CX and Im glad. Georgia gets really bad in the summer. Showing up everywhere you go w/ a sweaty back is no fun.
