Default FS: Brand New Spoon Tranny

-- SOLD --
Greetings,

I bought a spoon transmission about 15 months ago from R&D Motorsports. My intension was to put it into my Integra when I was ready for it. Due to recent happenings in my life I dont plan to race anymore and dont need this transmission. After talking it over when Ben at AJ Racing (about pricing, and if he knew anyone who wanted it) he recommened i try here first.

Here goes:

For Sale: Brand New Spoon Tranny (ie JDM 98+ ITR Tranny)
Price: 2200$ OBO
Location: So Cal
Shipping: Buyer handles it completly

Pics: Will Post Soon...

PM me if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Neel

This transmission has an LSD right? What are the gear ratios?

this transmission has 4.78 final drive.

it also has LSD and is basically identical to a 98+ JDM ITR Transmission...just reassembled by spoon.

here are the gear ratio's...

source (my article): http://www.hondaswap.com/articles/viewer.php?id=45

B18C (JDM Type R):
S80 (Helical LSD)

JDM Type R transmissions are the best for all motor applications where acceleration is emphasized most. All 98 and up JDM Type R transmissions came with 4.785 final drive with the same 1st, 2nd, 3rd gears as the USDM Type R. To make highway driving more tolerable, the 4th and 5th gears are the same as GSR transmissions. Look to spend between 1400-1600 for these transmissions because of their final drive and rarity.

Here is a look at the specs:

1st: 3.230
2nd: 2.105
3rd: 1.458
4th: 1.034
5th: 0.787
Reverse: 3.000
Final Drive: 4.785

**and because this transmission is no longer available, it will probably sell for around 2000-2200...even though JDMhondaparts once sold them for around 1800-1900.

The Zeals are through AJ Racing. He is holding them for me, call him and ask him for pricing. Its complicated so I cannot quote you a price. But i think you would prefer it this way buying it through someone as reputable as AJ PWR.

Up and away...

I have been looking for a Spoon Transmission, but your asking price of $2000-$2200 is just a little to much.

I had grasp of one, for $1450, but once I got my money together (months later due to procrastination) I missed out on the deal.

Let me know if you drop in price.

Thanks
Ryan

Is there a tranny like this for H22? I mean, best I can do is pull gears out of the 4th gen, 5th gen, and Euro R trannies, even then, how well would that compete with this?

sheesh! Integras!
