OEM vs. Aftermarket Integra Type R rear spoiler...........

How is the shape of the aftermarket one? Is there that much of a difference, quality wise between the oem and aftermarket type r spoiler? Reason I am asking is because I found a really good deal on a pinted aftermarket Tyoe r spoiler, and I was wondering if it is worht getting, or am I better off getting an oem one, and having it painted.....
The aftermarket type r spoiler is made of ABS material, and will be painted with PPG paint....... Can anyone tell the difference between the oem and aftermarket ones? I was told to stay away from fibergalss spoilers, but also ehard that the OEM type r spoiler is made of ABS material also.
any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks..........

I have a Comptech ITR spoiler with LED. Needed the LED cuz of the damn Bay Area police.
But its nice. Same size and width as an OEM ITR Spoiler. Cept the bottom is slightly thicker to cover up those extra holes.

I got a wingswest type r, I am happy with it. If you buy Type R spoiler, your gonna get just for looks anyway, nto much functionality. But make sure you look at it. I heard that if you get a generic brand, that the wings look lop sided.
By the way, My Wingswest Spoiler used OEM holes
, so no need for drilling

The holes will match up...but there will be 2 little holey guys left over. Not too bad at all. But it does bolt RIGHT on.

You'll have 2 holes on each side that will be exposed. You can just get some plugs to close the holes or you can have a shop do it. You'll also need to get an LED for your rear window to be legal. Easiest thing to do is to get the Comptech ITR replica spoiler, since it has the LED built in.

I bought my ITR wing directly from Comptech and it had Wings West logo stickers on it. Unless things have changed, the wing was made by WingsWest and sold through Comptech.

Just so you know you can get a comptech/wingswest Spoiler from the comptech web site for 200 now (instead of 350). I'm planing on gettting it myself but i'm not sure if i want the extra unwanted attention from cops and theives.

I think the aftermarket type spoilers are similar in quality to the oem ones. personally i say go wingless.

Having a third brake light is not only a matter of police pulling you over, its a matter of safety. The third LED brake light definitely helps people behind you react faster to your braking. If you don't want to get rear ended, keep that third brake light. Don't expect to get off as totally their fault if you removed your third brake light and they're smart enough to notice.
