Default should i strip my EG?

im using my 93 Dx HB as a daily driver and occassional auto-x car. i want to clean up and lighten the car by removing the rear seat and plastics. is it a good idea or will i regret it. i think it looks clean when its all gutted and i heard it removes some weight. some advice please..

Personaly i dont think you should because it will look like it is a theft recovery or somthing. What i think you should do is when you race take out all the seats that you are not using and your spare tire. But if you like the way they look stripped more power to you it is your car and you should do what you want not what i want

don't forget, when you remove your interior you get bumped up to street mod I think. If you autox just for fun and dont mind losing (unless you're experienced) i suggest keeping your interior.

depending on what class you are running in, doing that may make it illegal.

I did it... I felt a difference driving around, and plus you can put all the major parts on really quick.

True!

If this is a second car I'd say do it but if not, Go with comfort. Also, I don't think most girls would be impressed if they had to sit on the floor on the first date...

LOL, Civics aren't exactly chick magnets. I'm not sure how much insulation/ tar they use in the hatch but my cousin stripped the trunk in his 99 sedan and the tar alone was almost 30lb's. Maybe you should start with removing that. the spare, and the rear seats.

Do it. Just leave the 2 front seats in. If you like to talk on the phone I would not, to much road noise. Oh yea here.

You wrote it wrong. It is "They are 2 girls that like cars".

And I don't know either of them!

I only did it because it was a second car...
A friend of mine has a 93-si with an ITR swap and a 5sigen exhaust
and my gutted cx with a 1.6 sohc vtec is louder. I like it though.
My girlfrien is almost used to it now.
As for the weight issue, I have run head to head with integra ls swaps and
an integra gsr.

I would only do it if you can stand the noise or if it aint your daily driver.

It is weird, there are a string of interior removal threads going around. Must be something in the air this week that is making everyone remove their stuff.

i have just removed the rear seat and carpet in the rear... it gets very loud on the highway, im about to start wearing ear plugs for longer trips.

also if you remove anymore then i did you will be bumped to a mod class like d mod or something. street mod only allows the rear seat and carpet to be removed
