its just like your drivers test...you start with a learners....then you take an actaul test...here in MD I took the motorcycle test on teh same course as the drivers test....once you learn how to even ride a bike the test is easy...i took mine in a thunderstorm lol.

Nate,
The riding test here in town goes like this...
You have to take your car and your bike. You will need to take a friend with you to drive the car. The instructor rides in your car with your friend driving while they follow you. You have to constantly look in the rearview mirror to watch the blinkers on the car so you know which way the instructor wants you to go. You know where the DPS office is on Perrin-Beitel? They basically take you into the subdivision back their for the test.
All of that above is the driving test, you have to pass the wriiten test (it's on a computer) first. The written test is pretty simple, just use your head.
As far as what kind of bike to get for $3500 (your other post). You won't find a 250 or 500 that has the "look" of an R6 or similar bike. Your best bet is to get an 92-95 Honda/Kawi 600cc. Please take the riding course first Nate. I have a feeling you will start hauling *** once you realize the potential of a bike, especially without your turbo'd car. If you are seriously buying a bike just for looks....just get a really big poster dude.
Later,
Marc
