Try calling 18007cycles. My brother got a quote from them for a 2001 Suzuki sv650s. $487 a year.

For a 23 yr old w/ a 929, State Farm gave me the best price...$115/mon.

Search through the archives too. There are several "Insurance" threads.

I'm 23 years old, and living in the San Fernando Valley (kind of a high rate area). I put $170 down and I'm paying $73.92/month for full coverage on 2003 CBR 954RR. It's through Farmers Insurance. I was paying $800/year for full coverage on my 2001 GSXR 600, so that's about how much you would be looking to pay with your R6 if you went through this guy (assuming you have a perfect driving record). Shoot me a PM if you want the guy's number. He's in Sherman Oaks, so it's a long ways from the I.E., but worth the drive if you can't find a better rate.

BTW: I got quoted $5000 a year from one company. It damn near gave me a heart attack.

check any online company that does comparison quotes. i know for automobiles, progressive gives quotes for other companies as well as theirs. it's going to depend on your driving history, region (where you live), home, apt, credit, etc..etc..i know we had a post on this not too long ago...

Im 21, '01 gixxer6 380 per year full coverage 50/100/50 liability limits and $250 deductible . State farm. Get a car on the coverage too and the bike will be amazingly low. It basically tells them the bike isnt your only transportation.

I'd say dairyland, farmers, or state farm (if they take you.. which is iffy).

I have progressive, and I'm paying $350 a year with NO collision. I think I still have 1 ticket on my record.

State Farm is very good for sport bikes. The question is....how good is your driving record and credit score? Both are big factors with underwriters. If you have moving violations, Progressive might write you, but it will cost a lot more than State Farm. You might also qualify for discounts by taking the Motorcycle Safety Course or by joining other organizations. Call the insurance companies and ask what discounts they offer.

WTF.... I just got a '01 R6, and I'm paying $1400 a year through Progressive! I'm 26, with a clean driving record. How the hell are you guys getting these prices???
