I have it on my Accord.

It's as quiet as the stock one. Very easy to install, the quality's good too. I'd recommend it.

I have the RS (the old WS) on my GSR, and I absolutely love it. Great sound, fit, look and quality...

I just had the WS installed on my 2000 GSR. One of the nicest sounding exhausts I have ever heard, whether just idling or WOT.

You will be very happy with it.

I just got it put on about a month or two ago on my 98GSR. It's pretty cool. Fit's PERFECTLY. Pretty quiet for a full catback, but it get's a little loud (for my taste) after some driving...maybe i have an exhaust leak or something...dunno...nonetheless...i know it's one of the quietest out there...

since this comes up so often...i'll take some pics tonight and post them for everyone to see....

something is wrong then because the WS or RS could never be too loud for anyones tastes, you can barely hear it.

I heard that the WS is a chambered exhaust meaning it doesn't gain much power as many of the other aftermarket ones which are straight through. Is this true?

maybe I don't have a WS? hmmm....but I asked for one when i ordered it

here's the pics...the muffler is definitely NOT a straight through design... i wouldn't expect any HP gains....just nice looks and sound

enjoy!

Anyone know for sure if there is an apex WS system that fits the 4 doors? For some reason I think I read somewhere that it did, but I talked to someone at a local shop today and he wasn't sure. Anyone know?
Thanks.

i don't know what the diameter is...i'll have to measure it tonight and repost...

when i got the exhaust, i was a little surprised at how big the tip was...but if u look at the entire car, the tip really doesn't look that big...

Make sure to measure the inside diameter, not the outside...

Nerdish,

The inside diameter is 3 3/4"
the thickness of the steel is 1/16"
and the outer diameter came in at 3 7/8"

it was bigger than i expected...

i measured my oem gsr exhaust tip and it was just shy of 3" (OD)...it was wedged in the back of my closet so i didn't pull it out to make a more accurate measurement....

hope that helps!

wasnt nerdish talking about the piping diameter?? so the WS makes no power over stock whatsoever??? cuz apexi claims that it makes good mid power since its not a straight through design and has more back pressure as opposed to a straight through design which has less back pressure and is more for top end power.....someone correct me if im wrong..... so yeah....i guess my question would be does it make good mid power???????

i'm not sure if it made power or not...if it did it's not noticeable (that's what you should if you only get an exhaust). I just bought it for the sound and the look.

maybe nerdish was talking about the piping diameter....how the hell am i supposed to measure the inside pipe diameter w/o removing it

those are old pics so i wasn't installing and posting all at the same time

u can see the pipe diameter difference in the picsl...that's all i can offer u guys for now

Yeah I was talking about the diameter of the pipe, not the tip.. maybe next time before somebody slaps it on they can measure it.

Oh well...

I measured mine before I put it on and it came to like 2.35" or something around there. Not very good for turbo, I need a new exhaust. But it sounds so damn good

Just got mine installed today, too. I love it! I wouldn't mind a little bit more noise though. Idle sounds real nice. Most of the noise you hear is at lower RPMs...it has a nice bassy tone that's fairly noticeable. At higher RPMs, I don't really notice the exhaust tone as much as the engine.

Comparing it to the pipes of the stock exhaust, the WS should have gained a little HP. Not noticeable though...as mentioned, all you're mostly getting is good looks and sound.

I'm extremely happy to get rid of my rusted up stock exhaust.

I have it for my 98 gsr. I love it. Its the best sounding exhaust for a teg that i have herd. Its only "loud" (depends on your taste) when your at low rpms (3000 rpms) and accelerating.. Otherwise its not too noticeable. Its also looks damn sweet. I highly recomend it.

To those of you thinking it doesn't make any power....of course it makes power! The piping is larger than stock, the muffler...although more restrictive than other aftermarket exhausts is still LESS restrictive than stock. The RS/WS is a good street exhaust

yea the RS is similar but the tips are mounted in different locations..on mine its centered right down the middle.....hey darwin if u like the PE they have a new one out thats more of the N1 style but is pretty damn quiet cuz it has 2 resonators i believe...i heard it on a gsr a few weeks back
