No. Sedan hoods with not fit a Hatch/Coupe. Trust me. I used to work @ a speed shop and they are 2 diff part numbers
Yea i know the part numbers are different, but it doesn't make sense. I need a technical explanation.
The difference between hb/cp and sedan is the sedan has longer corner lenses, which is why the bumpers aren't interchangable and the fenders. However, the headlights i believe are the same so the hood should work no problem.

the sedan hood is a little bit longer then the 2 dr model/hatch.. if you was to put a 4 door hood on a hatch, it wont close because the hood latch is to further in for the 4 door hood

You COULD modify it to fit, but what happens is up by the windshield it'll actually be poking up a little higher, the more I think about it, some guy I used to talk to had a black 4 door hood on a red car, and the fitment sucked.

I guess the bottom line is try to buy the right hood with the right car......unless you already purchased a 4 door hood for a 2 door???
No, i am just trying to find out for a friend. I've always been curious about that and never really got an answer from somebody who actually tried it.
I have a 2dr/3dr hood on my 4dr. It works but it is about 1/2" too short at the windshield, 1/4" too short where it meets the bumpers, and it sits about 1/4" too low compared to the fenders.
In the end, it works, but it fits like crap

It seems strange to me that the hoods would be different. I'm not saying they're not but the cars practically have the same engine bays. Just to be sure, have the cars that are running the different hoods been in accidents before?
Nevertheless, good info.

All the Honda hoods are different the coupe, hatch and sedan.
Sedan is long and boring
Coupe is a little longer then hatch with a dimple
Hatch is shorter with a dimple, but trust me they all fit 5th gen civics, some just sit a little longer then others, but nothing to noticible.
