Default update of my R. 56k watch out

paint my IC black so no one is gonna see it

due to the IC wont fit with grill, i had to cut the grill and get some mesh to put it on to cover my IC

Sleeper

look what TIAL WG did to my hood, it was enough space between hood and WG so everytime when i change gear it hit my hood. i had to take out the screw on top my the WG.. now i got a dent on my hood

now i need some help
everything is done and took for a test drive. and when i hit 3 -5k rpm the car is really strong, but from 5-6k rpm my boost start droping from 5psi to 2 psi at 6500rpm and my vtec sound really wierd (does turbo makes vtec quieter ?) , and it feels like my car is braking.... ( so slow ) my a/f still reads rich. why is that ? is it because i still have stock exhuast ?
here is my setup
drag kit 3
vafc
running at 4.5psi

thanks

dunno...could be that you're detonating and your knock sensor is retarding the timing soo far, that you lose a lot of power... Or there is something wrong with your waste gate or bov....or one of you clamps could be venting boost under more boost

put the screw back in the wastegate, maybe that'll fix your problem?

alright...i remember u asking me about my gauges..i bought the autometer bezel that fits in your dash so i don't have a guage pod showing...

second of all the turbo will muffle down the vtech...and don't plug that hole on the top of ur wastegate!! it it won't allow the waste gate to open..and don't rely on ur a/f gauge! it only gives you an idea where ur at, the best in an lambda reader or at least an egt gauge..and for you loosing boost around 6k rpm is probably due to the stock exhuast system giving to much back pressure or also check for boost leaks!..i suggest getting t-bolt clamps...also for the tial wastegate denting your hood either save the top bolt down a little or use a brass fitting with an 90 deg bend..if yah have anymore probs just pm me....and just take it easy for now until u get all the kinks worked out!

heres the link to my setup to help you...

i believe exhuast is killing some power for sure, especially for your "turbo". About the losing power part, i think u probably want to retune it and see the dyno graph that might help that's the only thing i don't like about turbo which u need to really take care of it and pay a lot attention on gauges... gl man. for Rs

How reliable is a ITR after boosting it? Does the engine wear faster?? Also, is there alot more maintenance when you have it boosted. Sould like alot of headaches, but after everything is working properly... are there alot of problems down the road?

boost on stock block = forget reliability. your piston ring seals will go. fairly soon.

yes. lots of problems on the b18c5 stock block. even with a fmu and vafc.

a boost setup done right will be about 5500-6500 w/ tuning incl.

Who needs reliability when you can get blow off valves? (Which I might add I heard one for the first time about a week ago, I thought my tire was blowing out or something... but it was just a stunneriffic eclipse )

Does the paint effect heat transfer on the FMIC? I was considering painting mine but now I've decided to just to go with the XXXL black panty hose.
