The Field harness is prewired for the VAFC (soldered & shrink wrap) and will plug directly into OBD2B cars (99-01 ITR, 99-01 civics....ect) NO cutting or splicing required. It plugs in between the factory harness and the ECU. Unit was in my car for over a year with no problems, removed to install Hondata. The VAFC has been painted black. you use vafc to change the fuel delivery at certain rpms. it is used to do some light tuning when you have light modifictions. the harness just makes it easier to install.
