finally! pictures of my painted kosei wheels.
i went with the 15x7 (+38 offset) kosei wheels from tirerack. the paint is very dark, but slightly lighter than in these pictures; i took these today on this overcast cold morning.
a good representation of the actual color.
this gives some idea how far out these wheels push toward the fender.
the good news: i drove around last night (albeit low speeds) over bumps and full lock to lock and experienced absolutely no rubbing! these wheels are no closer to the inside frame than stock, but they are much closer to the fenders. the steering response is 10x better than the same tire on a 15x6 wheel. i just was at limerock with millenia/azenis and i could feel the improvement with a 15x7 wheel just driving around the neighborhood - it's real, no silly butt dyno here.
the bad news: you don't have these wheels.

the pep boys plastikote paint seems to have held up to the tire mounting pretty well. i'm interested to see what happens under track conditions....

205/50 azenis - knowing how wide the azenis truly are, you might stuff 225/45/15 kumho r-tires in there with no rubbing.

My stock R doesn't look like a ralley car like that, you can almost fit your hand above the tire!?
