JDM HID conversion wiring???
Has anyone here done the wiring for the HID headlights that come with the Jap spec conversion. I just got the conversion and was gonna have my body shop do it all, but wanted to find out how the heck you wire it up????? I have an 01' ITR if that helps at all....
Thanks,
Aj

It should be fairly simple right?
Your OEM green wire is positive, and your black wire is negative.
Hook it to positive and negative on your ballast and there you go!
I'm just guessing.

you take a 9v battery and you put black from the headlight on negative then touch each wire to the positive and when it lights up you know that the wire you have on the 9v battery is for that particular light also the hid will only flicker with a 9v battery so dont be worried. then once you figure out wich wire is for what light you take the stock wires and hook them up...
Yeah, I can figure out which wire is which, that's not really the problem, it's more the fact that I now have an extra light to contend with. I looked into getting the JDM fog light switch for the yellow city light, but no one seems to be able to get the harness for it.
I was actually hoping someone knew where to get a harness clip for the OEM HIDs, someone told me that an older prelude uses the same harness, though that sounds a little odd.
Any way, if anyone knows for sure, let me know...

I am currently working on a "How-to Do it yourself wiring " page on the Jdm integra type R hid setup. I personally dont believe in sloppy wiring jobs on my car...so this page will show you how to do a clean setup. Here are some of the pics of my JDM OEM HID headlights installation. I have since put the factory plastic covering over the harness for the even more "stock" look.

The Wiring has been covered MANY times.

Same as the NON HID wiring except you take the Ground from the Low Beam and connect it with the High Beams ground both to the JDM Headlight, and you Take the (+) Low beam wire and connect it to the white wire on the Headlight plug.
The Wiring has been covered MANY times.

Yeah, pics and a step by step would be much appreciated....
I've wired up many things before, I would just preffer to do this right the first time, rather than having to fiddle with it. Thanks for your help guys...
