Not even if he wants to say OBD0. Its pretty much the same sway as b16a, You just will have to get a Cable tranny unless you want to convert to hydro. Then the swap would be more difficult.

I would look into converting to obd1 and running a chipped p28 for wiring. the rest is straightforward b series swap except you may need a custom tranny mount if you use hydroulic trans..

good luck

Yes, but you have to do some custom stuff. Please search. This has all been talked about before.

Or instead of spending 4-5k on a c5, you could spend 1k on a B16 and use the remaining 3-4k to build it. You won't even remember you wanted a c5 after that.

The easiest and cheapest way to go is to use a 1996-1999 JDM P73 ECU (stock JDM ITR). Although OBDI and OBDII don't really mean anything with JDM stuff, the 1996-1999 JDM P73 can be best described as an 'OBDI ECU with OBDII plugs'. Converting the plugs is no more difficult than going to 1992-1995 style plugs, as this ECU does not use all the OBDII sensors.

The built b16 won't be nearly as durable as a stock b18c5.

Hey I did this swap about 3 years ago and it was tough . I had to rewire a bunch of stuff and there were not many resources out there at the time. If you want to do it it can be done, I used to drive this one on the street ,,much fun,, But unless you can get the motor for cheap, I would build a B20VTEC assuming you want to keep it streetable. Staying around the same price as a full swap. and being much stronger.

Look at this to see how to use the ITRs stock transmission.
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=220712

I havent done this swap but ive done alot of research in preparation to do it. Take a look at the post i made earlier about this same topic. Just search for my name and youll find it. I havent made many posts on this forum since its not the one i use the most so it should be easy to find.

Its seems like the best thing to do is to use the p28 ecu chipped.

The most technical part of this swap is the Transmission if you go with a hydrolic clutch. If not then its going to be the wiring. Either way its a bitch of a swap thatll cost a **** load of money but be well worth it in the end.

If you want to use the ITR gauge clusters hears another link for that.

Good luck man. I hope you decide to do this swap. It should be ******* bad ***. Sides I could use someone that would help me out with the details of it and tell me what to watch out for.

first off you need to do a lot more research if you are seriously asking whether you stock si tranny will bolt up to the b18c5....you might be getting in way over yoour head...
