Another one gone... 98 #896
Well, the unimaginable happened to me yesterday evening. Came out of the mall, Tysons I for those of you who know the Northern Virginia area, to find my R gone. Mall security looked for it as they thought i just misplaced my car. The police came and made a report and then drove around the mall to look for it as well. I am sure it will never be found but if it is i don't think it will be anything left of it. So, two things. 1. Unreal.
Tyson's is not safe at all. This whole area is getting way too hot. If I can keep my R until the lease is up, I'll be amazed.

well there you go i can tell you what...my car was stolen from tysons 1, around 4 weeks ago and thursday night we caught the people responsible for the tysons car theft. im not sayin we caught them all that are part of it but we caught who ever stole my car and fuzzy logik's as well. I know your car will show up, as did mine but i'de hate to say it a Type R is A LOT better then a slightly modded SI, they at least left my motor but a C5 they are gonna keep. but look at it this way....NEW CAR

im not trying to judge you guys, but all of you know that TYPE R's get stolen constantly, so then why risk your car getting stolen by parking it in a mall? Mall parking lots and stadium parking lots are theif heaven, i mean thats mainly the reason why i havent purchased an ITR because i would need another car for times like driving to a mall and what not.
My best friend got a type R and he drives his ford taurus all over the place...but when its time to play and the car isnt going to be parked where it cant be kept an eye on..it stays HOME...you guys that got ITR's and park them anywhere got some real *****, unless you live in IOWA or something...now i know u cant control everything, but still...
P.S. im not hating, flaming, or anything im just stating an opinion of mine that i think of all the time when ever i see these kind of posts.

every R owner should have a daily mule for everyday duties; this has got to stop for the sake of the breed-which is quickly evaporating

Well the truth is we buy R's to drive them and a few thieves can't get in the way of enjoying our cars. We should, However take steps to safe guard these cars especially now that they don't make them anymore.

Reenforcing my theory of never parking in movie theater/mall/stadium parking lots.
But is the constant looking over your shoulder, and avoiding certain areas worth it to me.....yes!
