HELP! think my aem took a shit on me. stock ecu+880s=starts?!!
What the **** is going on. Here is the story.
I was tuning my car with my wideband when my boost spiked to 25psi!
. After that the car just sounded like ****...wouldnt rev up. So i thought the worst case scenario motor is blown. check the compression and everything is straight.wtf?
i try to start the car with the aem and no spark; even reloaded my maps just to make sure.
Just to make sure it wasnt the aem i put my stock ecu in to see if i was gettiung spark. To my surprise the car starts...plenty of spark!!!(btw i have 880cc injectors!!!)
So wtf is this? aem **** on me? what do i do? how is the car starting with stock ecu and 880s?

My car had a very hard time idleing on 440ccs, i would hate to see how it would be on something double that size. Sorry Man

his car ran because the pulse widths for larger injectors and stock injectors are VERY close at short pulses such as idle, but give it gas and it bogs like a ****. Also the presence of the 3bar map sensor cuts about 33% so those 2 facts combined explains why his car ran. Hell my car in full limp mode drove with 450's installed, i put like 20 miles on it so i could get home

This is also with a gm 3 bar. The car idles a little rough, but pretty good. Also drives like stock. I'm totally confused

The GM 3 bar MAP sensor acts as a sort of AFC hack. It drops the MAP output voltage down below what the it would be with stock MAP and injectors, so you get a smaller pulsewidth that runs the big injectors.

Yea, i posted on aem to see what to do with the unit. Has anyone else ever had this problem?(aem not giving spark)???? THanks
Hey, sorry dude, right now i have a **** load of stuff going on at school, but i took my map and just threw your fuel and ignition.....something is seriously up, cuz i still cant believe you are running that kind of cycle duty w/ 880 injectors, mine dont even come close to yours and im only running 550's.
Regardless check your email, and ill be around the forum briefly for the next few days.
Early next week, ill be able to look more into it if you havent figure it out yet.

when my eprom went there was no spark but, you can tell because the fuel pump won't click like normal. If yuou can connect to the aem then there should be nothing wrong with the unit.

Dude if you find out what is wrong please let me know. I upgraded to version .94 last about two weeks ago and I have the same problem no spark. I replaced the ICM and car sparked adn worked fine. I drove it home and shut the car off. I then went to start it a few days later and would not start. No spark. I called and posted on aem site and no help and no replies. I asked them if version .94 can cause the ICM's to go bad and they said NO. Well something is fu*king up my car b/c it will not start and I have no driven it in almost 2 weeks now.
Also I would like to know how to adjust the voltage like that guy said.

I dunno if its the actual unit or what. But prophet said that the unit wouldnt connect if it was bad....thats weird. Mine connects just wont give spark.
yeah mine connects but I am not getting any spark either. I do not know for sure if my icm is bad this time. I do not have a stock ls ecu but i am going to try and borrow one to see if my car starts then. I am just really pissed and no one seems to have an idea of why it will not start.
