I just wanted to ask where did you guys put your ballast, for those of you who used the Audi a4 HIDs. I've read skafia's tutorial, but he used the ballast from the A6 which had longers harness. I just want some ideas before I start hacking up my headlights.

? You mean the wires leading to the bulbs from the ballasts where longer?

You can extend them easily. Just make sure you solder it up pretty well.

I placed one ballast underneath the ABS bracket, and the other somewhere on the other side, I forget. A very good place for the right ballast is underneath your fender, there's holes to mount a bracket. That's where I'm putting the right one when I replace my projector in a few weeks.

 

i would not suggest using solder to attach HID components together.

voltage may be low, but current is another story.

i'd actually suggest crimping them instead.
