How much camber to add?
I was doing taking some temperatures yesterday at an auto-x trying to figure out if i need more camber. I have -1.3 right now and 0 toe. My temps were about 105-110 on the inner edge, 115-120 in the middle, and about 125-128 on the outer edges. So the temps show they were consistently getting hotter toward the outside. I really haven't read too much into what changes effect what but i figured some of you guys might know.
thanks
thanks
- What kind of car?
- Was this front or rear tire temps?
- What brand of tires?
- What Suspension?
Sorry for all of the questions, but different setups dictate different answers.

41/38 tire pressures
those are front temps because i didn't measure rear thinking i'm not going to change anything back there
350/400 on kyb agx, 22mm sway, about 1.5" lowered
and yokohama es100's, but i could go to falkens again, still deciding.
it was around 65 i think. during the summers last year my falkens would get so hot i couldn't even touch them with my hand even after trying to cool them down with water. But that was with about 95 degree outside temps.

I'll probably end up around 1.6 or so. I only plan on changing it by ride height since I don't want a camber kit. I have the F/R camber ratio I like so both front and rear will increase at the same time. I just have to get the time to go home and lower it and then put it on the alignment machine.

I would guess about 1.5". I'll try and go out and measure from ground to fender for you tommorow. I have the rear corrected so that front and rear are the same though.
A good rule of thumb for this chassis is .8 degrees - camber for each inch lowered.
Same for 3rd gen Integras.

And, the ITR is a tad different too because of the rear control arms.
rear camber = understeer.
