FAQ: How To: EF Canards
Breaka 1_9: Sorry in advance if this belongs in the appearance forum - but I thought it was more of a tech item as it was a how-to, and was EF particular?...
Since there was some interest in my previous post:

on these EF canards or wings or whatever you want to call them. Here is the how-to and a template based off the ones I made for my car.
(*Disclaimer: My car is an 88 CRX and they fit perfectly to that so I'm not entirely sure what fitment will be like on the other yrs. and hatches or 4-drs...)
Step 1: Go to Home Depot or your local Plexiglas supplier and buy a sheet of 1/4" Plexiglas, big enough to fit two of these templates on. (Black Plexi is what I used, but whatever color works or clear and spray it black etc..)
Step 2: Print out this template (tile it out if you don't have a large-format printer) I've included one dimension of 5.5" across the base to make sure your print out hasn't been resized.
Step 3: Lay the template out on your Plexi and trace it twice
Step 4: Get out your jigsaw and cut the templates out.
Step 5: Wetsand your edges down to get a nice clean finish.
Step 6: Break out the heat gun and gently heat the edges to get them completely smooth.
Step 7: Lay the dotted line portion of your cut-out along the sharp edge of a table. Slowly heat ONLY that area up with the heat gun - do it slowly or else the Plexi will bubble.
Step 8: Gently bend the wing tip over the edge of the table. (re-heating and bending as necessary) Until you get a 90 degree angle.
Step 9: Repeat these steps to the second wing - REMEMBER TO BEND THE WING-TIP THE OPPOSITE WAY - as it is for the opposite side of your car.
Step 10: Drill out screw holes
Step 11: Screw up into underside of your bumper.
Project finished - should look something like the pics in my other post.
The template is below. If there's any problems with the image - just email me and I can send it that way.

if anyone does make some pls. post them up. I'd like to see! I'm most likely going to make some more sets of these on the wknd. for people who were interested in them so email me if you are.

yeah, those are SUPER easy to make. (Didn't like them on my car - too many fins with the lower lip...)
here's how:
1. go buy a 1/8" sheet of Plexi
2. take a piece of cardboard out to your car.
3. trim the cardboard until it fits against the curve of your bumper angling up to direct the air over your wheel arch.
4. lay that template down on the plexi
5. cut it out
6. get three L-brackets
7. pop rivet them onto the plexi fin on the underside at either end.
8. pop rivet the third on onto the top side of the plexi inthe middle
9. pop rivet it onto your bumper.
-done-

Oh crap!!! Looks like I might make a trip to the Depot tomorrow if I have nothing better to do!!!
That is one of the best HD-spec pieces I've seen so far! Excellent.
(Chime in anytime, Keith...
