HASport vs. HCP mount kit for H22. Which one is better?
Just looking for your guys opinions on which is a better mount kit for an EG hatch. I've heard good things about both, now I'm just wondering which one is a better bang for your buck. I know the HASport one retails for $649, and I've seen the HCP ones for around $450. I wanna make sure I do this right, so I'm just looking for pro's and con's of both from those that have them. Thanks guys.
I prefer Hasport. Better bang for buck though is HCP. Alot cheaper than the Hasport mounts, but I do like the quality of the Hasport mounts a lot better.

HCP claims you can go back to stock if you want.
Another thing, is I think the HCP kit just a ghetto installation and not as clean of an install as the HASport -- not to mention quality of the HASport. HASport perfects the angles and such for axles, and conditions to the mounts before releasing them.
i didnt use usdm rear mount on my swap. your all about Hasport B, LOL
i liked my HCP kit, even though they are stiff mounts , but all aftermarket kits are pretty stiff.
my axle placemnet was fine, the only thing i really hated about h22a in civic is the stupid shift cables
as for "clean" install id say i like HCP better , im not a big fan of bling bling, i liked the black mounts, and you only have to cut a bit off the stock mount for hcp

I debated this for like a month before I made my mind on using HCP, I like the fact that I can go back to stock if necessary and I was not impressed with Hasport's durability when it came to mounts, I mean I have already replaced the same mount twice when I had my B16 in my EF, so I figured if the Has cant withstand a beating from a B16 then I wouldnt trust them with my H22. I had the HCP in my EF and never had one break till I switched to Hasport. I've had my HCP mounts on my EG for like 6 months now and I've never had an axle break nor a mount.

HCP... Im so tired of HaSport. everyone seems to think they are the best. Honestly, if you dont have to get a kit, your better off using stock and whatever other mounts you can with energy inserts, itll be cheaper too.
I would go with HAsport, I don't know much about HCP though. I do know that HAsport has the motor placed at a very good angle so there is no Axle issues. I am plannin on going HASport here in the summer. Just assume that I will have to have the H22 in it until I sell the thing... damn =P
I wouldn't want to use stock mounts for the H22, because obviously there is nothing that would work since you are taking the motor from a Prelude that shares nothing in common w/ the Civic minus the

definately. If I were to do a B-series I would try to retain as many mounts as possible, much more cost efficient.
What is this kit you speak of?

i'm using the HCP mounts now... and they work fine... but i'm thinking of switching to Enjo mounts(canadian company). the Enjo mounts are a lot like the HCP mounts but the welds on them are a lot thicker. i got a set out being powder coated. i'll post pics as soon as i get them back.
Billet aluminum, mmmmmmmm!
After talking to Brian @ Hasport (the guy who designs the mounts) I was sold on Hasport. Sure both mount kits will mount an h22 into your civic, but Hasport has taken into consideration: the angle of the motor for proper oiling, hood and ground clearance, axle alignment etc. I am sure hcp has done similar, but not to the same degree of research and development that Hasport has put into their mounts. That's my 2 cents. Besides, I am using the Hasports so my opinion is biased
