i had a little accicent involing my car and a guy on a bike last night. i was getting off the high way to get gas doing about 35-40 mph and the next thing i know i see a block bike about 2-5 feet infront of me and i hit him of course and i skidded about 100 feet because it was wet out and i got out and called 911 and he was talking and moving and tryed to get up but i wouldnt let him and then all the police and ambulance came, after about 15 minutes the helicopter came to take him, i'm going to go see him this week, but the paramedic told me he would be ok, since he was moving his arms and legs and was talking fine. the cop made me sit in my car, and thats when i got a good look at my car. the whole roof, windshield frame and windshield are all caved in. i was in shoock already from hitting the guy and after i saw my car, and i'll admit this, i was crying like a little baby and thats when i realy went into shock, my legs started to collaps and i had to sit back down, my whole body was knum, i couldnt evan feel my legs and couldnt stand up. the paramedic asked me if i was hurt and i couldnt tell becasue i was knum so they brought another ambulance for me because i was in shock so bad, i was at the hospital fro like 4 hours wile they tryed to calm me down. and my BS ******* insurance company wont cover it at all. so i need to find a new car. there are three cars i am considering, another del sol, a civic hatch, or an s2000. pics will be posted as soon as i bring my car home tommaro. i cry evertime i think about it.

 

I'm sorry, but I would be more concerned about the the biker.

 

i am, i'm going to see him tommaro, i called the cop earlyer and he said that he is ok, and is going to be released in the next day or two.

 

Yeah me too, cars are replaceable and the work you put into it transforms into experience so you cant bitch about that. What you are really going to cry about is the lawsuit that the dude slaps on your insurance company. Don't think it wont happen. He will hire and attorney and they will go for the big bucks, which he deserves if the wreck was bad enough to make *you* cry.

Jesus. Good luck with that whole thing. Hope to God that the biker is not going to sue your *** up the wall. About the car, well, it's a black del sol with some mods: it can be replaced with something better. Much better.

 

So what happened, you hit the bike and it/or the rider flew up and hit your hood, windshield, and roof?

a same thing happened to my brother but he hit the guy and the guy died...

 

well, he cant sue me, it was his fault, acordng to my insurrance company and the ploice officer. my insurance is covering his medical but not my car. acording to my insurrance compant, the police officer, and my dads lawyer, I can sue him. he was wearing dark clothing, riding a bike over a 6 lane road, not including the merg lanes on each side witch would make it 8 lanes. and his bick was block with no reflectors. and there is a snow bank fallowing the whole highway and a fence on the other side, so i'm not shure where he was going. i dont think i will be sueing him, i feel bad enough that i hit him with my car even though it wasnt my fault.
oh, and HE hit my windshield and roof, the bike flew into the snow bank next to the road.

Glad you and the biker are ok. That's the risk a biker takes, especially when riding on a busy road at night..

 

Im not a lawyer, but it sounds like *you* hit *him.* It doesnt matter if he jumped in your lane or not, but if you rear-ended him its your fault, black bike, no reflectors and all.

The guy is hurt and he *will* get some money out of it. Hopefully your situation isnt too bad and you will recover from all of this and get a new ride.

Am I understanding this right? this guy was on a pedal bike not a motorcycle right? my question is what the hell is he doing riding his pedal bike on a 8 lane road in the first place? Usually roads that busy and that large don't allow people on bikes or pedestrians. Could be I am envisioning this whole thing wrong in my head though.

well, maybe i need to explain it more. he wasnt riding in traffic, he was riding through 4 lanes of traffic towards a snow back, he road his bike in front of me, about 200 yard befor a cross walk

i feel sorry for you.. i know that peeps says those thinks about well fuc the car *** long as your alright.. well i have tryed the same.. when i hit a car front 2 front.. nothing happend 2 my or the other driver .. but seeing my car all mess up and the shock of hitting someone else like that.. very hard 2 explain.. NEVER wanna try that agian !!.. i was all mess up inside.. seeing my love(car) like that all we done togther and i have build.. in 3 years.. gone... in a split second...





seeing this hurts every time !! i feel for you.. but good you and the biker didt get all that hurt !

yea, i'm ok, it was just realy bad shock. i leteraly though i was goin to have a hart atack, thats why i had them take me to the hospital, i just have a few cuts on my face and hands from the glass spraying on me. i'd be in the hospital still if i wasnt wearing my seat belt, when i started to get out of my car i bumped my head on the roof because it was about an inch from my head. but thanks for the concern.
