I dont have pins...most will recommend them, however, my hood does not flex at all at high speeds and I really dont think I have a need for them.

had one VIS hood fly open on me before while on the highway,..needless to say i have hood pins on my fiber images CF hood now,...i really like the look without hoodpins but just that mental picture of blackness and not seeing in front of you for that split second just makes me cringe sometimes so ill stick with my pins

I recommend them. I have had friend's hoods fly up on them going 80mph.

I took my fiber images hood on my 88 CRX, 92 Civic Si, 98 Civic CX, and 2000 S2000 all four at over 100mph without hoodpins. The FI Hoods didnt even flex. I dont recommend them.

same here, i had the FI hood and at 80 mph, it does not move. If i ever decide to put the hood back on, i might get the pins just to be safe. i heard the locks are kind of hard to put them on. it is recommended that a bodyshop do it becase it is really hard to line it up correctly.

wait!! if you were to get a cf hood, does the cf come with a latch so u can unlatch it from inside the car? or does it not come with them so thats what hood pins are for?

my VIS and FI CF hoods both came with a latch,...i bought my VIS hood a long time ago,..the latch rusted off and thats why the hood came up on me,..i have heard that the new VIS hoods dont do this no more,..but like i said before id rather be safe then sorry,..its just a peace of mind for me i guess,..but i do like the look of a CF hood with no pins

the latch on a CF hood is only attached to fiberglass, so it's nowhere near as sturdy as a stock hood.

I have momo hoodpins on my POS.

they are IDM yo.

I would never run a CF/Fiberglass hood without them, doesnt matter what brand hood.

Cheap insurance.

The hood i have now is a lot lighter than the vis hood i use to have so it has hood pins on it....I have hood pins now just to be safe...a lot cheaper than a new hood and a new windshield....

I bought hood LOCKs (exactly like the ones in the jdmhondaparts pic) for my stock hood...

but never had the ***** to do it... and I won't get a CF hood any time soon..

anyone wanna buy them? they're silver but I spoke to my autobody shop and they said painting them flamenco black pearl wouldn't be a problem... so you won't really "stick out".

$30 shipped

my CF with lockin pins. There very kewl and all. and everyone loves how clean they look. very suttle look. The hard part on them for me was getting them aligned perfectly. Cause I had to keep on repositioning the lock to slide into the pin...but its sick *** hell and I get alot of comments on it

I personally do not have them on my CF hood. I may put some on in the future, but I have never put them on any of my cars.

I tried to put on the this hood lock before on my 95 civic, it just NOT WORK, because the hood have a curve.
You have to mount the hoodlock on the flat surface...
I bought it from Jegs.com, 3 yrs ago, $18 shipped
