It says SPOOM on it. Or the owners of the fakies have Giorgio Armani T-shirts that say Fruit of the Loom on the tag.
There's a couple things different.
1. Cut outs on the edge of the spokes of the rims should go all the way to the top.
2. JWL stamp on the rims are deeper on the Rota's than on Spoons.
3. Should say Made in Russia

BEWARE: There is a version of the Spoon rim that does in fact say "Made In Russia" but they are fake!! Yes, they have the "Made In Russia" between the lug nut holes in the back of the rim. (I forgot where it's located on the real Spoons) They're also not truely flat black, more of a Rota flat black. They weighed 12lbs for 16" too. Some guy was selling them in the bay area claiming the are 99% Spoons. PM me for more info!
As stated earlier:
The Rotas are super shiny. The spoon will be lighter than the tire in color. Rotas will be darker than the tire.
Look on the inside. Should say Made in Russia.
Also should have the Desmond stickers on the inside of the wheel. Usually by the valve stem on the inside.

these are all ways to destinguish spoon from rota, but this topic has been discussed a million times s-e-a-r-c-h!
