I tried to search but didnt find anything. Has anyone tried to fit RX-7 550cc injectors into a GSR? I have a friend that is selling his and they are saturated so no resistor box is needed.

Thanks CRVRX, but no thanks...I getting the injectors for 100, I just need the Clips. Dr. Doom and CRVRX, have any problems installing them....or was it just pop the old ones out and pop the new ones in?

I am using the 91 N/A RX7 460cc injectors. The 550cc are the Turbo ones for the 2nd gen RX-7's They work fine as well and no need for resistor box. If your using any 89-92 RX-7 injectors you will have to get the clips for them. If your lucky enough to find 88 RX-7 injectors, they use the same square injector clip design as with hondas and will not only bolt into the intake manifold, but will clip in as well without the need for a resistor box.
About the years before 88, its my understanding that they used 2 injectors or something like that. But they are peak hold like DSM injectors. You could grab 4 and make it work. Heres a list of RX-7 injector styles. I went with them cause people are just charging ridiculous amounts for old DSM injectors which need to be balanced nowadays cause there a hot item. Heres the list with parts numbers from Denso

Ok so let's assume I got a set of NA 460cc from an '89 RX7. Now I know I'll need clips (which ones should I look for?), but will I also need a resistor box and will they fit the rail of a B-series?

Ok, Heres the deal. I got the 89-91 rx-7 550cc Turbo injectors. I searched everywhere trying to find clips...Napa, Autozone, Checker, even the Mazda dealer. The Dealer would only give me the whole fuel harness...so off to the junkyard I went. No RX-7's at any Junkyard here....so I thought maybe some other model Mazdas had the correct clips. Well, all the snow covered the cars, so I couldnt tell what was what. After about 10 mins in the Junkyard, I found a 1990 Corolla...PERFECT FIT...but the clips were chipped and scrached. So, I found another Corolla with clips in gread condition. Cut then off and paid 5 buck for all four.
The RX-7 injectors are a little fatter than the stock 240cc's, so the rubber ring at the end stretched a little when we put them in. Wiring was pretty easy. The Yellow-black on the Corolla clips goes to the Yellow of the Honda harness. The Black-brown of the Corola clip goes to the varied color of the Honda harness. Also, when putting in the injectors, leave the Rubber Ring in the head....insert the injectors to the rail, and tighten down the rail. The force of the rail will seat the injectors into the head.
So, heres what you need for 89-91 RX-7 550cc Injectors to work in your VAFC/SAFC:
4 89-91 RX-7 550cc (denso PN# 195500-2020)
4 Clips from a 90 Toyota Corolla
Thats it, they are saturated (High Impeadance), no resistor box needed.
My VAFC settings are:
1000rpm -25%
2000rpm -35%
3000rpm - 8000rpm -45%.
I some misfire CEL's until I changed the 2000rpm %. Now, everything seems to work ok!
Now for the Pics very HIGH DETAIL 1600x1200.
550cc Injectors and Clips
240cc next to 550cc
550cc, Corolla Clip, 240cc
Try it if ya like!

haha thats funny. I was just digging through a u-pull-it junk yard and came found that the corolla ones you mentioned fit over mine as well. I tried some sentra plugs, even though its oval, it doesnt fit as well as the corrolla plugs.
Like I said before the, the 88 plugs are the bad *** one in which u can plug the stock clips directly into the plug, other than that u need the clips.
Best of all NO RESISTOR BOX

That's pretty kool, but wiring a resistor bow only takes like 30 min's max and that's with soldering all of your connections! But yah, this is pretty informative stuff.
