Default B16 or B18? what should i get?

one of my friends introduced me to this guy who owns a shop and hes gonna hook me up with a swap. i told him i'd need a couple months to get the money together.
what do u guys think about the b16 or b18. i'm leaning more towards the b16 just cause i hear they are much better for turbo, but the b18 is a stronger motor. i'm not sure what to go with...what do u guys think, any suggestions, past experience?
let me know, thanks.

What are you talking about when you say B18??? There is the LS(B18B) or GSR(B18C1)???

All three of them are good for turbos....just depends on your budget.....

so a search though in this forum...i found a lot of info on them.....good luck

Do a search for the vast threads on this very topic. IMO, the b16 is a better base but if the budget is limited then you can extract more power the b18 turbo route. Plus the b18(a or b) gear ratio is better for turbo. If you are talking b18c1 versus b16, hands down go with the b18c1, also IMO.

I feel, that if you are going to put down the money for a swap...might as well just go for the B18.....The B18B is a good starting point if you have more limited funds and still plenty fast.
