my takata harnesses get OWNED
okay so for those of you that dont know,.. i had ordered a set of takata harnesses from inlinefour.com a while back and they had sent me the wrong set they sent me ,ph-340WR's instead of the 340R's they were a bit too short so i had them rigged for a little while,.. i posted here to get opinions on how to make them fit which lead to the "my takata harnesses will own me without a rollbar" quote i dont know how that got there,.. i guess honda-tech owns me!!! here are the pics thanks and flames welcome!*&(*!&!B

Your still gonna get owned by hondatech fool, cus even though they are the right ones now. You still don't have a roll bar/cage. Harnesses w/o a cage =
It's not cool cus if you ever roll over your head is gonna squash like watermelon when you can't slide down the seat the roof crushes in on your skull. A padded 4 or 6pt roll bar from AME can be bought for $250 and installed for free if u can find a tig or mig welder.
Form follows function, and to me anyway, cages look great..
Good job warren.

Not only will the harnesses own you w/o some kind of rollover protection, but it's also quite dangerous to have them going over your shoulders and down at that angle. The shoulder straps should go back as close to horizontal as possible. They can angle down a bit if absolutely necessary, but definitely not that much.

i think the harness looks good...just be VERY careful and don't do anything too crazy in your car..i would hate to see another h-t member go down...be safe mang
yeah a quality cage can be had for pretty cheap. at least a simple one that would work. and what is the rave about takata harnesses? jdm? i mean i know alot of people with them so therye not really that rare, but my cheaper sparcos work just as well. i assume takata is expensive since its jdm and all.

sorry for the flame fortune...
just use your stock seatbelt..
its annoying to use the harness anyway, plus u cant tote around passengers.
wait until u get a cage, and put the harness away for the meantime..
spend your money on soem more max...to keep that beurty shinning

first of all,.. when you race your supposed to have the harnesses tight so that you dont move,... a friend of mine runs scca in a gen 2 rx7 he said he cant touch his ***** when he is strapped down,.. when i am driving around on the street, i leave them loose enough so that i can scratch myself if needed,... also takata suggests that the belts be mounted to the floor under the seats,.. they say that mounting them staight down could cause injury,.. reguardless,... i am getting a cage eventually,.. i mean my backseats are already done anyways no one will be sitting back there anyways,... and lets not forget that i am a tralor/show queen and i need the "extra points" at the shows jkjk and lets also not forget that i am a madd stunnah and i sit with the seat madd reclined so crushing my head wont be a problem!

Harness without roll cage is unsafe. But if you are not worried about it. Then more power to ya. Hope you dont have to learn the hard way.
But other then that. Very nice hatch.
On another note : If he has all the "Racing Goods" and doesnt wanna race his car thats his choice. His money his car.
Dont be jealouse and flame.
