Does Brake Fluid Go Bad?
When I flushed my brake fluid, I only used up about 3/4 of the can. According to my co-worker, my leftover fluid is useless since the open container causes the attraction of moisture. T or F?
Well, this is what Andie @ Cobalt Friction told me (IIRC) ...
After the container is opened, it has basically a shelf life of 6 or so months.
I think if it's in a metal container like ATE products, you might be able to make it last a bit longer.
Take the remaining fluid and flush out your clutch resevour.

MOst places do keep that stuff on the shelf for a while, so I dont know, maybe after it is opened it will absorb some moisture. What kind of fluid is it? Unless it is Castrol SRF I would think it would be easily/inexpensively replaced. JUst write it off as a loss.
