what markings will indicate a true ITR cam, numbers, letters, etc. thanks

 

 

so, the type r intake came will have a small ring cutout of it near the end? Are any other honda cams like this to confuse me. what about the exhaust? I was needing to know before I left to go to school in about 45 min from now because I plan on pickup the cams up on the way home. thanks

gsr cams have 3 rings , ITRs have 2 rings , b16a ones have none

um that's false info about the GSR cam rings. GSR cams do not have any engraved rings at all, in fact.



Early ITR cams or pre '99 US ITR cams have a single engraved ring as seen in my pics above. 98+ JDM ITR cams have dual engraved rings, just like a CTR intake cam.....that's a dead giveaway -- dual engraved rings = CTR or 00+ ITR cams which are same in spec, so no matter which one you get, as long as its the dual-ring style it's a legit 'R' cam which has the CTR cam lobe profiles.
