Does anyone have any pic's of a EG2 with a cage in it? Thinking of getting one and I wanted to know how they deal with the back window.

 

i just installed my full race cage in my 93 del sol, we put in a lexan window, it had to be custom fitted, IM me we'll talk over that, my buddy doesnt want me showing pics of it just yet, he doesnt want anyone stealing any ideas!

 

User "mospeed" also has a cage. He's posted pictures of it, just do a search on his name.

Also remember, EG2 only stands for the VTEC model of the del sol. Not all del sols are EG2's.

Yes I know what an EG2 is and yes I have one. That cage can kill you? So can the ground when your cab gets crushed like a beer can. Hey Mospeed thx for the pic's do you have a pic from the back?

Yeah, I agree you need some padding on your roll bar, it could save your life. What might have been a nonfatal crash could easily turn into one without proper padding.

Goodluck finding a "cage" in a del sol that isn't strictly a race car because for proper mounting, they have to go through the back window into the trunk...

 

The roll bar is going to be padded, i intended it to be since the very begining, it'll be covered with foam, and that foam will be covered with suede.

 

Now thats using your noggin...Good call.

Well mine is not just a "race car" but is far from a "show car" and that is what your apears to be. I don't want a show bar I want a cage.

 

Mine is functional, not just a show bar, thats like saying this cusco roll bar is the equivalent to those APC show tubes....

This bar is so strong that the car could probably be lifted from it....it's made from chromoly steel and welded and bolted into the car, yes the head clearance is dangerous, but no closer than the window.....

Most del sol roll cages are custom jobs.

Ben had ordered it for his del sol when he had it, but he ended up selling it and getting an EK. So they had this bar sitting around.

It's cusco, so i imagine they can order another one, email them and ask. info@aj-racing.com
