Fitting OEM honda/acura steering wheels
Whats up honda buddies, first and foremost I have done a search and I saw that this topic was discussed but not to much in depth, and no answers were found. I want to know what OEM honda/acura steering wheels you have in your EF's. I want to put a gsr steering wheel into mine, and i would also like to know for ***** and giggles which other options i have besides getting a momo, sparco wheel. thanks
i dont know what wheels fit, except i think the old prelude wheels do, and i know any 88-91 wheels fit obviously. i have a grant signature series or something like that, its one of the good looking ones that grant makes, i painted the button black and slapped it on, one of my favorite mods. cost about 100 or something, but its supposedly real leather, and the mount kit thing worked really nice, looks really good i think, nice steering wheel to grab onto also....
i got an 88 Prelude S steering wheel on my CRX and i LOVE it looks so much better than the gay HF steering wheel. fits perfect too...
I have a 91 ex wheel..i like it..kinda like a 92-95 style without airbags. and has cruise control buttons which can be used maybe to activate NOS or for just pretending they are the button to launch tomahawk missles
The best OEM steering wheels youll be able to get IMO will be either the JDM SiR 92-95 steering wheel, or the non-airbag equipped JDM ITR or CTR steering wheel. The 92-95 SiR steering wheel is a direct fit, theres no modification needed whatsoever. The JDM Type R wheels will require a JDM momo hub for a proper fitment. I know you can get the SiR wheels at Jspec, but if you look around you can find either the Type R or the SiR wheels for less at ebay.

i had a 87 integra wheel in my old 91 crx si but the blinker and wiper switches only had like a 1/2 inch space between each other kinda annoying.

in a related vein:
the wheel in my 88 hatch isn't stock, not sure what it came out of but it has 2 spokes instead of 3 and it doesn't have the pry off honda logo in the middle. that said, the horn doesn't work and i want to take the wheel off so i can figure out why...but how the hell do i get this wheel off? haynes manual only has instructions for the kind with the logo in the middle that pries off, providing access to the bolt.
