4th gen's Rejoice! Spoon CF Chin Spoiler Replica
Feel free to move, but honestly this is about as lude specific as it gets.
=====
Alright boys, it's time. The Spoon Replica is on it's way. This is no BS homemade project, this is the real deal. THIS IS NOT FALLING THROUGH.
For reference: the Spoon Lip

Molding starts Monday, first replicas ready end of next week, Feb 14th. If anyone has seen the pics of the Carbon Fiber trunk I made, you know the quality of the product. I have since gone with a new supplier which is even BETTER in my opinion, and you will certainly agree.
Anyways Here is the pricing. I have 3 models to choose from
Carbon Fiber Lip - - - - - $400 + shipping
Primed CF Lip - - - - - - - $300 + shipping
Primed Fiberglass - - - - $250 + shipping
I personally guarantee 100% OEM quality fit. Stock mounting location.
Okay so your first question is what the hell is Primed CF? Well carbon fibre is expensive because of the labour required to make it look good. However if you're gonna paint it anyway, the weave does not have to be mint, so you save on costs. This is a cheaper solution for those that want the lightweight design and strength of CF over fibreglass, but were going to paint anyway.
Payment/Shipping Details
Honestly, the mold to make this is really expensive. Molding is starting monday, so I am beginning to take at least deposits now.
Minimum deposit is $200, or paid in full. Paypal preferred via jbycraft.hba2002@ivey.ca or we can do wire transfer or good old money order.
I will be filling orders in order of deposit. I.E. when the money hits my paypal account, when the money order arrives at my door. Preference to orders paid in full up front. Once the mold is done I expect they will be able to turn out lips maybe 2-3 per week max, so you can see the further you are down the list, the longer it will take to be shipped.
I will contact you when yours is being produced for that week and take full payment, including shipping costs (If you already paid full it will be just for shipping). Shipped via UPS standard unless I can find a better/cheaper alternative.
The Lowdown
Please note these are maximum prices. Hopefully if there is enough orders I can get some volume pricing. So I'll keep my fingers crossed. See how many orders I can pull in before the mold is done and negotiate pricing again.
I'll post pics of the first CF replica, mounted and everything, just so you know what you're getting. At that point if anyone has reservations I can give you your money back. But trust me, I say that because I know there won't be any reservations.

Very nice! Whats the weights on the cf one and the fg one?
But it's a lip so the gap won't be too bad...
if i had a job..i would be down for this so quick. i hope everything turns out well for you Satan_SRV.. any idea how long you'll be selling it? i might be able to save up for a primed fiberglass..

How much lower than stock does it hang?
satan_srv,
So what material is the real Spoon lip constructed of?
Carbon Fiber? What are you asking exactly?

Basically I'm asking just to see which mold you have available would be the most exact replica of an authentic Spoon lip.
the original spoon lip is above if it looks colored (except the red one) then its the lighting.. they are all normal carbon fiber and the mold is being made from an original as far as i know. the one that is red was painted because he pushed it hard into a curb and put a little crack in it so he fixed and and painted it. unless satan srv is using a kevlar or colored kevlar they should be the same look as most carbon fiber hoods you see.
satan srv if im wrong about any of this let em know

Actually they can do kevlar, if added in the later layers it gives it a gold tinge...but I don't know who would want that...maybe we'll make one for fun
Just some more info about why I think our lips will be even better than Spoon!
Here are som pics of a spoon lip from Inline four:

Now if you look closely at the vent inlay, you can see where Spoon made relief cuts. It's just a fact that CF has trouble going around corners and such because it is a weave fabric, and will bunch up when you try to bend it. The Spoon solution is not fantastic in my opinion, I think they could have done a much better job. My guy will be trying his best to make the reliefs less noticeable in order to keep a continuous CF weave and a better product. He laughed when I showed him these pics and said he could do better.

Free bump for me. Selling like hotcakes on Preludeonline.com http://www.preludeonline.com/showth...threadid=104010
There should be no Duties to ship into the United States...but there might be brokerage and taxes.. although this is originally a Japanese Design the part is made in Canada... Auto parts made in Cananda or the US fall under NAFTA ..
ok, i REALLY want one of these, but i still dont have my lude. hopefully in the next few weeks. until then, ill bump you cuz i dont want this thread to die, i wanna hear more about this lip.
