has anyone painted the 98-01 gsr rims? (the blades)...if u did, do u have any pics to post up?

I was thinking of painting mine gunmetal or white for my white teg. still debating...

Nice job on the lip.

 

In case you're wondering, I polished the lip and masked it off before I painted them. I had stripped them long ago and had them to a chrome-like polished finish for a long time. I used auto primer, and then Duplicolor high temp low-gloss black with a ton of clear. I wet sanded the clear with 1500 grit and then buffed and polished them.

 

i think the user vwong had his 98 gsr blades painted to a gunmetal/shiny black. they looked damn good. on his homepage http://www.vwong.org his integra now has volk se37k's. you might want to msg him to see if he has older pix of his car

dayum those are nice...i want my blades to look like that, do any of u think its worth painting them, considering that it would be my first time doing this diy rim project and that i would have to keep them no matter how they turn out (not planning on buying a new set of rims anytime soon due to money issues)

Hey I didn't think the 94-95 GS-R wheels would work with polished lip, but that's not too bad (albeit a very small polished lip). Anyway, my car (as you would have guessed)

 

ya wanna paint some 00-si rims black with a polished lip, i like those blades though.

Automotive masking tape a lots of patience

 

Here's a pic of them on my 91 CRX. I bought some other wheels for my VX and I think the GSR wheels look better on the CRX anyway.
