There's no convincing some ppl of it, but Honda MTF sucks! Just ignore them.

Yes, Neo MTF is fine. So is Neo 7W. Either one will run circles around the **** Honda sells. My personal favorites are Redline MTL and MT-90. Six one way, half dozen the other...

Honda fluid works just fine for me at $2.00 per quart. The last I heard Redline was $7.00 per quart.

You can also use regular motor oil. I use Honda MTF.

motor oil wont offer the protection that mtf can offer.

assuming a manual tranny, 2qts. I want to say that it is 3.2 for an auto tranny, but I'm not completley sure. Go with redline mtl or mt-90. Yeah, its $7/qt., but for a manual, you only need 2qts, so its an extra $10 once a year... Saving $10 just isn't worth going the cheap route in this scenario.

Keep tellin' yourself it's that much better. I had a friend run the exact same set up as me, except the fuel system set up. I was and still am running Castrol motor oil and Honda mtf. He ran redline for both. Two transmissions later for him and all that expensive Redline......he also got an empty wallet.

no matter how good the tranny fluid is, it can't make up for someone abusing the tranny. Redline tranny fluid costs an extra $10/yr to run. No point in arguing over cost.

Exactly! Here is a 1-year supply of Red Line synthetic gear oil, sitting on my shelf; MTL for winter driving - MT-90 for the summer. Total cost? 32 bones.

If you guys can't afford 8-cents a day for the world's best tranny oil, you shouldn't be driving
