really trying hard to take out steph....
Yeah...that car is sick. It was built before his fwd car. Must be nice to have cars just hanging in the sidelines for when the classes arise.
That has a celica nose on it
im pretty sure thats not a pro rwd car its for modified/outlaw class with a supra motor. nice car.heres more about it:

ya dang that guy rado.. that celica is chump change.. i mean check it out.. the guy just lost a 20K phone. oh well huh?
You really can't bag on Rado, even though he has money, he is a pioneer in the import drag racing sport (first unibody FWD in the 8's).
Besides he is the first one to use 28" slicks and Penske shocks on a unibody FWD Honda!

although he was the first FWD unibody in the 8's, i wouldn't call him a "pioneer."

he was the first to use those parts cause he had the money too though. The coolest thing he ever did was have his wheeliebars on hydraulics. That was sick. He was on of the first guys to make meth. work as well.

He did have a bad *** idea and use hydraulic wheelie bars, however they were banned soon after they came out.
I don't think he ever used methanol, he was one of the first to use ethanol though, if I remember right.

hmmm...you might be right on the fuel, I dont know. But yeah, those bars were outlawed the next day from what I heard. I just remember being in the stands and watching the back up pop up...it was sick.

I only saw them in a magazine and a tech clip on ESPN2. They were kind of dangerous though, and it is probably a good idea that the NHRA banned them.
cool guy^ but yeah, those bars were awesome. He went to the burnout box and bang...the car poped up. The crowd thought it was awesome. That was before anyone really knew who he was. I remember thinking how it must have sucked to spend all that money on the bars and have them outlawed. Now we all know it was a drop in the bucket to him.

Why, because he has money? Believe it or not he was the first one to figure out the right combination of parts and horse power to put him in the 8's with "almost" a FWD unibody chassis. Whether the back of his car was tubed or not!!!

money isn't the issue here. what I consider a pioneer in this sport are the racers that have paved the way to make this sport what it is today. racers from the early 90's during the battle of the import days.

Chris told me they tested those bars on corner scales and that when they were down that it put 350 more lbs on the front wheels!! That combined with no drag from half track on, Imagine the possibilities....
It would have been nice if the rules makers wouldnt have just banned them(hydraulics) - one idea could have been to make a fixed, downward limiter for the bars to prevent pre-load. Thus still enabling the bars to be lifted down the track for safety. But to be honest, the setup wasnt as quick as Kenny and Lisa so that could be a reason why. (that was their first race with that setup so thats probably the *best* reason) I really think that the bars are working more than the first 1/8 mile. And being racers, I doubt that anyone would set their cars up to lose races by lifting the bars at 1/2 track. As a racer myself, my car seems like it has homocidal tendencies sometimes, but that doesnt affect my throttle position any.
