Alright I will start off by saying I have a 94 integra LS with intake and custom 2.25 inch exhaust, and it has snowed alot here in hendersonville nc, (3-4 inches) and when i sit idle at the stop light, the idle goes up and down, but stays below 1k, when i am in 3rd and shift to 4th and punch the pedal to the floor, the car will shudder really bad and then once it gets to about 3700, it will straigten up and not do anything. thats about all the info i can give tonight, cause its dark outside and i cant inspect anything more. im thinking a few things, possible water ingestion, really dirty fuel lines, um something to do with exhaust clog or something, those are my guesses, what do you guys and gals think?? much thanks to everyone

 

Could be one of a number of things. Maybe even a vacuum leak. Have you changed your sparkplugs recently? It might be as simple as that. Try changing your plugs, wires, dist cap & rotor before you get into the expensive stuff. If you actually did get water into your motor, that would be bad.

 

maybe over reved and dinged valves. that what happened to my car.

 

clean/change your air filter.

replace plugs, dist cap/rotor.

clean your throttle body.

if it has been a while since you have done any of this, do it all.

 

ok water is in the spark plug hole how do i get it out?

 

Straw, wet/dry vac, syphon, cloth, paper towel.. anything that works.. don't forget to change your plugs. Good Luck
