Brembo/Realtime Racing brakes for sale
I'm selling the Brembo front brakes off of my old Type R. These have 13" brembo rotors with Comptech hats and Stoptech fasteners. The calipers are the forged gold "Indy" calipers, like those that Realtime uses on their cars. The brackets are custom Comptech pieces. I also have the hats and brackets to use these brakes on an NSX.
The calipers were just re-built with all new seals and the Stoptech bobbins are all new also. I have two sets of pads, Hawk Blues, and Porterfield R4-S's.
Questions are welcome. These brakes were amazing on my R. Incredible stopping power and fade resistance and pad changes are a breeze. The 13" rotors and hats end up weighing the same as the stock cast iron pieces. The calipers un-loaded, are about six pounds, if I remember correctly.
I'm asking $2000, plus shipping, and I can take CC's via PayPal.
Here is an old picture off of my car:
I'll try and post some newer pics sometime tonight.
Thanks,
Mike

Well, being that the NSX kit is $4100 new, I think that $2000 plus shipping is more than fair. The calipers alone are $2400 retail.

It would depend upon the wheel of course. The Indy caliper has a very low profile, but it is also wide, so while it will fit within a 16" diameter, you would need to check and make sure the wheel doesn't have a crappy drop center that reduces the effective dimater near the spokes, and you would also need to check back spacing of the spokes themselves.
I was running 17x7 TE's (45mm offset) with no problems. They had about 1/8" of spoke clearance and plenty of radial clearance.

Here are some quick snaps I did tonight showing one side.
I double checked and the calipers are 5.5 pounds and the discs are 12.

LOL, thanks JohhnyBoy. There's still a few folks out there who remember my car.
Rich is selling his car too. The last of the 97's....
Donkey Motorsports is still alive although it hasn't been updated in over a year. There was a mix-up with the domain name registration recently, so the site has been down. It should be back up in a week or so.
Hopefully Rich and I will be able to update it in the near future with our newest toys, a 2003 M3 for Rich and a 2004 STi for me.
