What kind of alarm system would you guys recommend for a 4th gen Prelude? I would like to get keyless entry too, but does that come with the alarm? What price range am I looking at for all of this?

track down a matrix RS2 from clifford or a Matrix 1, the rs 2 has remote start, alarm, keyless, is made by DEI which means that it has a ton of accessories avalible for it and the range is awesome....the matrix 1 has no remote start but the same features!

the rs2 with the remote start was like 399-450 installed, but the matrix 1 was only 269.99, you can get the m1 at best buy still but not the rs2

the RS3 is the same as the rs2 but with the 2 way transmitter, however it only comes with the 1 transmitter and donsent give you a second one, infact you can only use the responder (the 2-way) with it as of right now.... but they are still the best out there....aladin...hmmm....not so much...dei has a life time warranty makes practically everyones alarms (rattler, viper, hornet, wasp, python, clifford, avital, etc...) has amazing tech support and they have a ton of interchangeable add on modules, for everything from windows, to glass breaks, back up batteries, you name it! check out their website at www.directed.com but they are expensive...if you buy a used alarm, you dont get a warranty and who would install it for you...taking it somewhere will run you about $150 or so and you could try doing it yourself, heck I did my whole remote start/alarm, before I was MECP cerified, our cars are not to terribly hard to work on if you have the tools and the pateince but you are better off letting a store install it for you

Lolz I was recently in best buy because my friend works there and as I was waiting for him I looked at what they had in the car audio.. they wanted $499 installed for the Clifford matrix... according to the yellow tag next to it..

Stick w/ Clifford (owned by DEI), DEI, Alpine or Compustar ..my friend bought his car used and it came w/ some generic *** alarm.. when the remote button went out.. we drove EVERYWHERE to look for a remote replacement.. a lot of the places said they couldn't get it or they never heard of it... so we had to go the GHETTO way.. and buy a switch from an electronics store.. and weld it on the IC board of his remote because we couldn't find anyone to sell us a replacement remote... GHETTO!!!
