i think he selling it for 2g. i have no idea wat comes with it but its everyting in the pic. its for a friend so i dont know what comes with it but ill ask him though.

 

Remember if the m4 is stolen and has been reported stolen it will be disabled and unusable. I'm not saying it is. I'm just giving the buyers a heads up. run the serial # before you buy it. just curious since you are in another forum asking how much they cost.

Thanks, that clears it up. Glad to see that they are at least tring to prevent theft.
You must have to use a new code everytime you unhook the unit.

 

Im interested also but dont want to by stolen goods when it cost 2g's.Post the serial numbers so people can ask motec if its legit.It looks legit to me but i want to make sure,cause who steals the system and has the manuals to it,unless they got lucky.

Are you sure thats the right serial number?It seems a little short.I'll call motec tomorrow and see whats up.Also can you post the pics of the serial #?Ohh yea can you list everything that it comes with.

I was looking on ebay and a found an motec m4 for sale with no reserve and it has the same picture as the one in this post.Is that your post?It says in the auction that they are selling it cause there is no tuner for the motec in there area.It says there located in california which has plenty of tuners including jg engine dynamics.Im just curious not calling you a thief,i jus want to make sure its legit before i spend that much.Heres the link:

the only thing that is promising is that he has 70 good feedbacks and no negatives but who knows. I thought this may be shady from the beginning.

 

yea thats mines, i live in the north part of cali, most of the tuners is in the south. i dont have a trailer or a car to tow it up there.

 

no wideband o2 correct??

 

if it has never been used before, you get 6 hours of wideband and datalogging. that is six hours engine run time. after 6 hours you have to pay 365 to get the pro upgrade, and over 700 to get the wideband option back. it's pricey. oh yeah and 330 dollars for the o2 sensor. great system though, just got the pro upgrade which was an 8 digit number. give motec a call to verify that serial number 1-714-897-6804.

 

OK i talked to someone at motec today and they it is legit and not stolen,but its a base model motec m4,this is what he said:

That ECU was sold to JG engine dynamics with only the base enable code. This ECU will not have the advanced functions, logging, or lambda features available for use. These codes can be purchased from and installed by any motec dealer.

 

then its probably worth about 1500.00 then. not 2k.

 

my friend also paid extra for the wire harness.

 

you can buy it new for about 1900 with harness from motec. If it hasn't been used it still has wideband 02 and datalogging for 6 hours of engine run time.

 

So you can only use the features for a certain amount of time?Then do you purchase more time or when you upgrade it turns into unlimited time?
