Default interpretation of update/backdate rule for sts

i've ordered my soloII rulebook but have not received it yet, so i'm asking here... i was reading about the authorized modifications in sts and have a question the update/backdate rule. on jerry mouton's page he has what i believe to be the text from the soloII rules. it states:

A. Equipment and/or specifications may be exchanged between different years and models of a vehicle if:
(1) the item is standard on the year/model from which it was taken,
(2) the years/models are listed on the same line of Appendix A (Street Prepared Classes)

does this mean that i can put a b16a2 from a 2000 civic si and put it in my 2000 civic dx hatch and remain in sts? in the listing for street prepared i only see:

CSP Honda Civic ('96+) Feb-2000

there is no deliniation between the si and other civics. what do you think?

Do not go by the stuff on Moutons.org. Some of it is outdated.

However, the 99-00 Si is in DSP and on its own line, so you cannot use that motor in a hatch anymore. I think there was a one year window back in 2000 where that was legal, but it is no longer.

I think any Honda civic with a vtec motor from 92-00 goes to DSP (although many of them are on their own line), and the others (dx, lx, cx, etc) go to FSP. If that's the case, then no--you cannot update/backdate.

Todd is correct. The VTEC cars were seperated from the others sometime between late 2000 and early 2002.

Yes, only USDM combos. That means no Canadian swaps either
