what needs to be done to put an si gauge cluster into a std civic???

Default what needs to be done to put an si gauge cluster into a std civic???

i have a 91 std civic. i want to upgrade my gauges so that i have the tach. if i were to find a cluster from a civic or crx, what would i have to do to install it and would any 88-91 civic/crx cluster work??? thanx

well first off a 88-89 is different plugs and wiring. get a 90-91 si cluster and just pop it in. you don't have to do anything just buy a 90-91 civic si cluster and take out the old and put i the new.

88-89 civic si or crx gauge clusters work in 88-81. 90-91 civic si or crx gauge clusters work in 90-91 civics. There are two bolts on the top of the dash and two under the dash, undo these. Unplug the cluster and stick new one in, an the redo in reverse. And POW, new gauges.

all crappy base model civics are pre-wired for the options they unfortunately did not come with- the cluster is plug n' play as well as a bunch of other stuff......
