Tein or JIC Magic Coilovers?
I have Tein ss on my EK and it rides like a charm. It gets kind of stiff sometimes but thats how I like my ride. Also, is 16 ways dampening adjustable so it gives great flexibilties. Definitely go with Tein.
I think it depends whether or not your planning on auto-x . If you're going to the track, I think you might want to go w/ something better than Tein SS, which imo is mainly for daily street driving and light track use. I called up Tein and they told me to go w/ RA's if going to the track often enough. The Tein SS is good im sure, but it doesn't come with the upper pillow mounts. Did you look into Endless at all? I believe the Endless B-6 or S-6 is superior to both Tein and JIC as far as quality. http://www.endlessusa.com/estore/sus...ct.php?page=s6 I seen all 3 brands of coilovers in person, the Zeal/Endless Coilovers appear to be the best. I think i'm going to go w/ the B-6 myself... sorry, hoped that helped somewhat.

Which is better and who is worth the $1,000+?
i have the 'tein ha's' on my dc2, which i think are great for my daily street driving and occasionally canyon runs, but i know they are discontinued...i would recommend getting higher model teins though such as 'ra', 're', or even 'rs' (if you want your car REAL stiff)...
my buddy just got 'jic flt-2 full race coilovers' for his ap1 (s2000). he got it at a relatively good price: $1500 as most places charge close to $2000. if i had $1500 to shell on new suspension, i would still opt to get teins (ra) because i am very satisfied and comfortable with their suspensions.
if you have a bit over a grand i suggest you get the 'jic sf-1 street coilover suspension' over the 'tein ss (superstreets)' because there have been a few post here with compliants about the 'tein ss', e.g. the coilver is made in vietnam and not japan, tendency to rust out in harsher conditions, etc...
good luck with the choice and hoped this has helped in the least bit...
alrighty then...i totally didn't see your post...

tein-usa is located by pomona, ca and all you have to do is send it to them for any kind of maintainance including revalving...
i am not sure about jic but i haven't heard anything.

im in the same boat...the tein HA's are still available in japan.
Tein...thought they were in paramount, ca?
Endless/Zeal are in torrance, CA
JIC magic is in Downey, ca.
I've only heard good things about JIC. They are for auto-x i believe. But from what i've read from the posts above, everyone is recommending teins? Ive also heard that the tein SS aren't that great, even though they are supposed to replace the HA's. Endless, they make quality, been in an AP2 with B6's. I have an 88 civic hatch by the way. What do you guys recommend? thanx

Well I got the Tein Super Streets with the Pillow MOunts and they are tiiite
I just installed the tein type flex on my EP3 and I was impressed with how low I could get the car.
They seem to be pretty decent quality. I've heard of the lower model JIC's having poor welds on them.

I just installed my Zeal Function B6... seriously... i think you should look into them if you're going to buy a nice setup. I absolutely love them. I'm more than impressed, and have ridden both JIC and TEIN which are also impressive, but I think I made the right choice.
