i know i can just put the ballasts where i want, they have 3 screw holes on them i can use. but...
1) where do i mount/put the ignitors?
2) how do i fit the bulbs into my ek9 headlights? I don't want to modify my headlight housings, is there an adapter kit i can use to convert the d2r bulbs to mount up to my housings? i have extra civic bulbs available to hack up if necessary.

i hacked up two H4 bulbs to get the metal rings off of them with the three prongs that fit into the headlamp housing. superglued those to my d2r bulbs. then i wired up the kit (just two wires on each side, positive and negative). plugged everything in and voila.
i am still determining where i want to mount the ballasts and how to keep the ignitors from flopping around...

i paid $275 shipped for the kit (bulbs, ballasts, ignitors). the color, brightness (intensity) is awesome. i drove around tonight before adjusting it and everyone was brighting me. so i just came home and aimed the headlights way down. i gotta go road test it now though... i don't want to post pics until i've finalized the mounting for the ballasts, 'cause right now they're ghetto zip-tied in...
i'm impressed with the overall look though.

but is it beam pattern corrected by putting the H4 plate on it?
if not.. casperselectronics.com has some H4 adapter w/ shield for D2S and D2R bulbs no glare, and perfect focal point.

Can you hook me up with that price?
MTK: the upward glare is horrible with just the hacked up h4 ring on them. i had to adjust the headlamps all the way down, and even then i still had to stick washers under the top mounting brackets to aim them down more... Maybe I'll have to get those adapters. Woulda been good to know about those before my install, heh...

Ok, I'm slow you guys gotta break it down for me
. So you pick up the shield/adapters for the D2S/R bulbs and an OEM HID kit and I can use those in my EG housings correct? What type of wiring is need to plug in everything? I haven't tried or used anything other than H4 bulbs so I'm lost here. I saw the conversion harness on the CasperElec. website for 9005/9006 to H4 but that was all.

Just a quick dummy question. What did you do with the High beams?
If I remmeber correctly that EK's have double filament bulb vs the TL has a
separate HID and high beam.

sorry, my digital camera is a piece of crap... the beam pattern is scattered, and highly uppwardly reflective (hence having to adjust all the way down and insert washers under top headlight brackets). i'm going to buy the h4 hid adapters with shields to see how it helps out with not blinding people.
